First Friday Coffee: Friday, March 2nd

8:30 a.m.  Please join Head of School, Friedje vanGils, in the Harwood Dining Hall for coffee, baked goods, and an informal discussion - topic to be announced.

The Butterfly Effect: Friday, March 2nd

6 - 8 p.m. at The Harwood
Don’t miss this multi-generational event that explores the effects of nature and nurture on the creative process. Featuring local internationlly recognized artists Joel Peter Witkin, Thomas F. Barrow and Cynthia Cook as well as other extraordinary artists at the beginning of their careers. And .. a special exhibit, “ITERATIONS”, featuring Escuela del Sol students and their fractal-inspired works. Enjoy “fractivities”, music, great food, a special film screening and more!

Elementary Science Expo: Thursday, March 8th

Visit the Junior and Senior Elementary classrooms from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. to see what our young scientists have been investigating! 

Spring Break: Monday, March 12th - Friday, March 16th

Childcare may be available with advance registration.  See you back at school Monday, March 19!

Spring Tea: Thursday, March 29th - Friday, March 30th

Our annual family-oriented Spring Tea event.  Further information designating which classrooms will hold tea on which days will be forthcoming.  Sign-up sheets for time slots will be posted in the sign-in areas of each classroom.

Bring Your Parents to School Afternoon: Wednesday, April 4th

Primary 3:15-5 p.m.
Elementary 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Wondering how your child spends their day?  Can’t envision what Checkerboard math is or how many steps there are to scrubbing a table?  Let your child be your teacher as they share their favorite activities with you!

Earth Day Celebration: Friday, April 20th

Another family-oriented event here at Escuela!  Join us for a parade, musical performance, fun and games, and potluck.  No classes, school closes at 1:00 pm.
